“Human land”

It’s in the limestone cliffs of the Vezere valley that homo sapiens found refuge. The first discovered cave, the most famous, is of course the one of Lascaux. If the original is not either open to visitors, a facsimile allows to discover its most beautiful frescos. Concentration of other famous sites in “Les Eyzies” and all around form a coherent ensemble regarding prehistory.

Of course, Perigord-Dordogne is overflowing with other treasures and this, directly in the basement that are beautiful setting where nature did work of art; superb crystallization ornament caves, giving impression of having developed in a mineral forest.
