Castelnaud, art of Middle Ages war
Ranked as Historic Monument, Castelnaud is totally given to the art of medieval war. There, you will discover an impressive collection of weapons and armors. Some war machines have been full-size reconstructed, as the big arbalest, the bombard or some type of trebuchets. Numerous models and very instructive audiovisuals allow to understand the different mode of attack and defense of a medieval Château.
Castelnaud proposes a lot of activities during school holidays that will make your children happy : show, forge demonstration, trebuchet shooting, sword fighting lesson or also armors fitting.
The Château is open all the year, every day, and there is no guided tour; a visit book translated in 10 languages is at your disposal. You will find all the prices information here.
