Roc de Cazelle, a reconstitution of our ancestors life
Prehistoric park, Roc de Cazelle allows its visitors to discover their ancestors life in the same places where they lived. Occupied for all time, the site was first of all inhabited during the Prehistory, then dig and converted in fortified castle during the Middle Ages, and finally reused and transformed in civil accommodation at this Century beginning.
You will discover the site through more than 100 characters and animals disposed in many life reconstitutions. You will walk along the shelters in the rock, cross caves and visit accommodations of our grandparents. You will also enjoy the impressive tools and weapons collection, sculpted by prehistoric men, 12000 years ago.
The walk ends with the visit of the farm and its animals but also with different activities proposed to children. Each afternoon of summer (except on Saturday) these one will try painting and silex cutting, propeller shooting and also enjoying show fire lighting.

We visited it for you !
Our grand children visit us for some years now and we love to take them on the discovery of our area, in a funny way when it’s possible. Roc de Cazelle is the visit that has most marked them.
Additionally to the different activities, the visit itself kept them amused all the afternoon ; “where is this animal ? Have a look and find it !”, cry of animals in the forest, adventure route through the caves and secret passages reserved to children, without forgetting the photo disguised in Cro-magnon men ! The characters and explanatory signs steered them to a reflexion on their ancestors life. They were often surprised and this visit marked them.
