In the heart of Lot, Saint-Cirq Lapopie overlooks the valley from its rocky piton. Saint-Cirq Lapopie benefits from a various heritage ; a 200 inhabitants little village with legacy resources and buildings ranked as Historic Monument. Visiting Saint-Cirq is like having a walk back in time through the numerous typical streets of the village.
You can begin the visit either by the top of the village, with this spectacular view on the Lot Valley, or by its foot with a viewing point on the superb Gothic church built on a Norman chapel. Don’t hesitate to cross the door of this uncommon edifice, that releases an incredible serenity feeling. It’s possible to park your car in a very big parking on the foot of the village; a bus take you from foot to top many times per day.
To end on a high note, you can visit the “Rignault” museum, perched on the verge of the cliff. Push the door of this Saint-Cirq house just for curiosity and you will be so delighted. Visiting this house is a good opportunity to discover the village privacy.

Saint-Cirq Lapopie is a fabulous village, a haven of peace with superb panorama and typical architecture, charming little streets that make you want to visit all of them. The Gothic style church, the Rignault museum, the little shops and the many typical bars and restaurants with their sunny and flowered terraces are lot of treasures to discover !
We advise you to go there in the morning, take your lunch and come back in the early afternoon, maybe with a stop at the Pech Merle cave, just near Saint-Cirq Lapopie !
