“Les Jardins de l’imaginaire”, translater by “The imaginary gardens”… A name that piques our curiosity !
With 6 hectares and 13 scenes, this touristic and cultural site matches gardens art with humanity history from Roman period. When you pass the entrance doorway of this garden, it’s like you dive in a work of art, a beautiful picture of a surprising and captivating landscape where you can find water, wind movement, patios, vegetable and viewpoints !
The garden is open from the 4th April to the 27th September 2015 and visits are guided. You will find all the prices information here.
After the visit, it would be unthinkable to leave the place without visiting the picturesque village of Terrasson, with its sloping streets and its typical architecture, to finish with its sublime church “Eglise Saint Sour” and its town hall.
We visited it for you !
This type of garden is unique in Europe, that confer it a very particular interest ! Our advise wouldn’t be to visit it like a classic garden but to roam it like an illustrated book. Maybe you will ask you the importance of a guided tour ? It’s absolutely essential here; to understand how the garden was designed, who designed, what’s its story and especially how approach it !
