The markets of Sarlat
There are many markets in Perigord, but the one in Sarlat is a veritable institution!
The covered market at the Église Sainte-Marie sells local produce every morning of the week.
There are also two markets throughout the town: Wednesday mornings (food only) and Saturdays (all products).
On Thursday evenings from 4pm to 8pm, you can also enjoy an organic night market on the Place du 14 juillet. A wide range of organic products are on sale, including farm produce, teas and spices, perfumes, crystals, herbs, jams, poultry, eggs, fresh pasta, market garden produce and organic pastries.
Truffle and foie gras markets are held during the 3 months of December, January and February.
