Lacypierre, real “Sarlat” mansion
Real “Sarlat” mansion, from the 15th and 17th centuries, Lacypierre appears suddenly out of the woods in the small village of Saint-Crépin-et-Carlucet. Typical construction of Black Perigord, the Château has ocher stones and a heavy roof in “lauzes”, totally restored by its actual owners.
This visit takes you through the region history, old stones but also through its illustrious owners life, the “Ferrière” family, Salignac vassal knights and the “Bénié de Lacypierre” family who gave their name to the little castle, civil and military officers.
You can visit the site only in summer, on Friday at 3.30 pm (with booking ! 05 53 29 39 28 / 07 61 17 64 26 or here firstname.lastname@example.org), with a guide who’s the actual owner ! What a beautiful privilege !
We visited it for you !
The Château is open only a few days a year, and we admit that it piqued our curiosity ! To be a part of this mansion privileged visitors firstly delighted us ! But it’s when we arrived in front of the Château that we understood this visit would be so different.
Lacypierre was restored in its history and previous owners respect and love of its actual one. Beautiful ! All the details were redesigned with care. When you get into this castle, you really go back in time. Knowing that it’s occupied during all the year astonished us. Would like during some days taking the place of these owners !
