Biron, an exceptional architectural plant
One of the 4 Perigord baronies, Biron has undergone several architectural modifications during its history. From the 12th to the 18th Century, every period gave it a mark, that gives it a lot of charm and attraction today.
The Château of Biron is open all the year, except in January. You will find all prices information here.
Good to know : you can couple the Château visit with the one of the “Cloître de Cadouin” with a 3 euros discount.
We visited it for you !
The Château of Biron is a majestic place that we discovered some months ago. There isn’t decoration in this castle, no furnitures, “just” a beautiful architecture, inside and outside the edifice ; stone spiral stairs, framework in solid wood, exceptional woodworks !
The little extra ? Biron is a preserved site ; in the last room you visit, you will notice ancient marks of painting that stand you gaping ! Owners also ask visitors to participate in this preservation and we found original and funny to circulate on small piece of felt, only in a few rooms of the Château in which parquets are so splendid.
